Complaints Procedure for Ethical Violations

The journal "Law and Sciences" takes all complaints regarding academic integrity and publication ethics seriously. The complaints procedure is based on the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Submitting a Complaint

Complaints regarding ethical violations may be submitted by any person via e-mail to the editorial office: qqbkqq@gmail.com

A complaint should include:
- the complainant's full name and contact details;
- a clear description of the alleged violation;
- a reference to the relevant publication (if applicable);
- any documentary evidence supporting the complaint.

Review Procedure

1. The editorial office acknowledges receipt of the complaint within 5 business days.
2. The editor-in-chief conducts a preliminary assessment. If the complaint is substantiated, an investigation is initiated.
3. The editorial board reviews the complaint and, if necessary, requests explanations from the authors and/or reviewers.
4. A decision is made in accordance with COPE guidelines and communicated to the complainant within 30 days of receipt.

Possible Outcomes

- dismissal of the complaint with a reasoned explanation;
- publication of a correction or addendum;
- publication of an editorial expression of concern;
- retraction of the article;
- notification of the author's institution;
- other measures in accordance with COPE guidelines.

Confidentiality

All complaints are handled confidentially. The complainant's identity is not disclosed without their consent.

Appeal

If the complainant disagrees with the editorial decision, they may submit an appeal with additional arguments. The appeal is reviewed by the full editorial board.
