Publication Ethics and Academic Integrity Policy

The journal "Law and Sciences" upholds the highest standards of academic integrity and publication ethics in accordance with the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the World Association of Medical Editors (WAME), and the Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA).

Author Responsibilities

- Authors submit only original works that have not been previously published and are not under consideration by other journals.
- Authors are responsible for the accuracy of the data presented, the correctness of citations, and the proper formatting of references to primary sources.
- All individuals who made a significant scientific contribution to the research must be listed as authors. Individuals who did not make such a contribution should not be included.
- Authors must disclose any real or potential conflicts of interest to the editorial office.
- Authors must disclose all sources of funding for the research.
- If significant errors are discovered in a published work, authors must promptly notify the editorial office.

Editorial Board Responsibilities

- The editorial board makes publication decisions based on scientific quality and relevance to the journal's thematic scope, regardless of the authors' race, gender, religious beliefs, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political views.
- The editorial office ensures the confidentiality of the review process and does not disclose information about submitted manuscripts to third parties.
- The editorial office takes measures to detect plagiarism and other violations of publication ethics. All submitted manuscripts are screened for plagiarism and AI-generated content using the StrikePlagiarism system.
- The editorial office reviews all complaints regarding ethical violations in accordance with the established procedure.

Reviewer Responsibilities

- Reviewers provide objective, well-reasoned, and constructive evaluations of manuscripts.
- Reviewers maintain confidentiality and do not use the materials obtained for their own purposes.
- Reviewers inform the editorial office of any conflict of interest and decline to review if one exists.
- Reviewers inform the editorial office of any suspicions of plagiarism or other ethical violations.

Plagiarism and Research Misconduct

The journal does not tolerate any form of plagiarism, data fabrication or falsification, duplicate publication, or authorship manipulation. In cases of detected misconduct, the editorial office acts in accordance with COPE guidelines, which may include rejection of the manuscript, retraction of a published article, or notification of the author's institution.
